BOB RODGERS
Bob Rodgers was born and raised in a small copper mining
town in the southern-most part of Arizona, close to the
Mexican border. He was first introduced to Gospel Music
while attending a small pentecostal church and soon fell
in love with it. Even in high school it became a passion
that only grew as he became more involved listening and
traveling to hear any group he could.
After graduating from high school, he attended Arizona
State University. He then enlisted in the United States
Navy for a four year term. While in the Navy, he married
his childhood sweetheart. During this term in the Navy,
he also directed choirs and was involved in his local
churches in San Diego, California and Jacksonville,
North Carolina. He and his wife Gayle attended concerts
and "singings" whenever possible.
They went home to Arizona and Bob returned to ASU after
fulfilling his term in the Navy. There he sang in local
quartets and directed music for his denomination. Bob
soon started his professional career in sales that led
to promotions and ultimately a transfer to the Atlanta,
Georgia area.
Bob stayed very busy with a wife, three children, and a
growing career, yet he still managed to direct music
part-time in his local church. He also developed a
graded choir program as well as one of the premier
choirs in the denomination. He stayed at the same local
church on a part-time basis for a total of almost 15
years.
The last several years of Bob's career in the business
world were spent working with executives of most of the
major discount and everyday low price retailers in
America. Having been promoted to President of his
company, he worked at the highest levels with these
corporations to develop products and packaging designed
specifically for their organizations.
An opportunity came about three years ago that would
allow the realization of a dream. RSI Music group was
formed after much prayer, consultation, research and
thought. In a short time many positive things have
happened. All those involved believe that God's
blessings are upon the company.
